Side Line Sports Bar and Grill along with the Sitting Ducks are raising money for one of our good friends, U.S. veteran Don Bennefeld, to help him after his recent surgery.

Don is a veteran of the Cuban Missile Crisis and was radioman on the USS Mt. McKinley AGC-7, taking direct orders from President Kennedy and passing them on to the Fleet Admiral. Those of you that remember this time in history can appreciate the magnitude of the job Don was assigned.

Don now faces a lack of mobility and we’re trying to raise enough money to buy him a Hoveround or a Rascal Scooter. This would enable Don to leave the house and help enhance his life.

We would love to see all of our friends join us at Side Line Sports Bar and Grill (59th & S Lewis) on Sunday, July 25  (starting at 7:00 PM) to help raise money for this worthy cause. The Sitting Ducks will be providing the music, and we invite our musician friends to come jam with us. We will also be auctioning items and having drawings throughout the night.
